Collaborate to eliminate the digital divide.
Project summary: This is school-wide, semester-long initiative is designed to improve the technology access of our students at home. Students will inquire about present internet and computer access, research the digital divide, then form a measurable goal for improving access. Finally, students will work with community partners EveryoneOn.org and Connect DC to eliminate barriers to access and connect more households to the Internet. Students would assess the project using numeracy skills by collecting, representing and sharing data about rates of internet access among the student population.
